Diffusion refers to the process by which molecules intermingle and expand as a result of their kinetic energy of random motion. The molecules therefore distribute themselves evenly to fill the given area.
Osmosis refers to the net movement of water across a selectively permeable membrane driven by a difference in solute concentrations on the two sides of the membrane. osmosis only allows certain types of molecules(such as water to pass through) but no solution molecules such as salt.

In my opinion diffusion is movement of particles from area of high concentration to lower concentration. Osmosis is diffusion of water through a membrane.

Diffusion: When molecules spread apart gradually.

Osmosis: Is the movement of water from a region of high concentration to a region of low.

Diffusion- Molecules, departing from high concentrated area to low concentrated areas.
Osmosis- water molecules moving through the membrane to get to higher concentrated areas , to try an balance it out equally.

Diffusion: The passive movement of molecules or particles along a concentration gradient, or from regions of higher to regions of lower concentration.
(In other words departing from high to low)

Net movement of water molecules through a semipermeable membrane from an area of higher water potential to an area of lower water potential.
(I say water molecules because that what it usually is also to sum it up it means, from a area of low solute concentration to an area of high solute concentration.)

Diffusion is the movement of a substance from one concentration gradient to another. Osmosis is when water is balanced evenly through a cell.

the movement of a substance from one gradient of concentration to another is diffusion. when water evenly balences inside a cell is osmosis.

Diffusion- the movement of a substance from a high concentration to a lower concentration.
Osmosis- the movement of water through a semi-permable membrane. Let's some through but not all substances through.

Diffusion is the process in which there is movement of a substance from an area of high concentration of that substance to an area of lower concentration.

Osmosis is the tendency of a fluid, usu. water, to pass through a semipermeable membrane into a solution where the solvent concentration is higher, thus equalizing the concentrations of materials on either side of the membrane.

Diffusion-the movement of a substance from a low cocen. Osmosis-the movement of wtr through the membrane to get a higher concentrate.
